Here's Barrett taking his turn playing goalie.
And here is Barrett chasing after the puck (he is at the right-center of the picture).
Nolan's team played full-ice games against one of the Arapahoe teams (from Denver), Rock Springs and Casper. They won the first two games and then lost to Casper early Sunday morning. It turned out that they played Casper again in the semi-finals and won during a shoot-out following a 3 minute overtime. This was a great game between two pretty even teams. For those who don't know, Casper and Cheyenne are big rivals in the state, so there were a lot of happy Cheyenne folks after such a good win! The second team from Arapahoe was outstanding, and really took it to Nolan's team in the Finals. The Capitals were very proud of a 2nd place finish, especially since this was the first Cheyenne U8 team to earn a trophy at our own tournament!

Nolan and some of his teammates celebrating their 2nd place finish. Their goalie had his birthday party at Pizza Hut right after the game, so they had a good time celebrating that evening.
The team 2nd place trophy was already in the trophy case by the time we got ready for a picture, but it can be seen right next to Nolan's left shoulder in this picture.
