Nolan moved up to AA baseball this year. They now play with umpires, outs, strikeouts, etc. but still get pitches from the machine (now at a little over 40 mph). Nolan is on the Braves this year, but still has the same coach as he had in "rookie" league last year.
So far, the Braves have played well in two games but lost 11-14 and 2-5. Nolan is doing great. After striking out his first time up, he has hit the ball every other time at bat. He is 5 of 6 batting, with 3 RBIs and 1 run scored. And in his second game, made 2 outs in the field at 2nd base in one inning. He has just 4 or 5 second-year AA players on his team, so his coaches are loving how he has learned to help the team in the hitting department.

Above: Nolan's 2nd game on a very cool and drizzly Saturday morning. The coaches just decided to allow the kids to wear their coats. Right after the game was over, the sun came out and we warmed from the low-40s into the 60s. Spring baseball in Wyoming...Brrrrr.
